- Spice, spirit and citrus. Fruitiness too, with a combination of pale sultanas and sharp woodland berries.
- Palate
- Slightly spirity, spicy and with mixed peel character.
- Finish
- Biscuity.
- Comment
- Youthful, but without the lip-smacking class of the older vintages.

- Crisp oak, malt bins/shredded wheat, estery. Hot bracken, patisserie (almond, vanilla) kumquat, praline. Seems young.
- Palate
- Spicy and fresh. Decent depth in the centre. Good flow. Light milk chocolate, clootie dumpling mix, citrus peels, hazelnut shell.
- Finish
- Dry cereal, nutty, young.
- Comment
- It's a perfectly decent dram but not a patch on the great ‘vintage' bottlings.
