Arthur Motley
Nose
Spice, spirit and citrus. Fruitiness too, with a combination of pale sultanas and sharp woodland berries.
Palate
Slightly spirity, spicy and with mixed peel character.
Finish
Biscuity.
Comment
Youthful, but without the lip-smacking class of the older vintages.

Nose
Crisp oak, malt bins/shredded wheat, estery. Hot bracken, patisserie (almond, vanilla) kumquat, praline. Seems young.
Palate
Spicy and fresh. Decent depth in the centre. Good flow. Light milk chocolate, clootie dumpling mix, citrus peels, hazelnut shell.
Finish
Dry cereal, nutty, young.
Comment
It’s a perfectly decent dram but not a patch on the great ‘vintage’ bottlings.
