Michael Jackson Nose Sweetshops. Icing sugar. Liquorice. Very delicate hint of rooty peatiness Palate Silky-smooth. Nougat. Dried apricots. Anis. Finish A suggestion of orange. Teasing delicate, gently soothing. Comment The flavour metaphors evoke childhood, but this is a very adult, sophisticated malt

Jim Murray Nose Charming acacia honey and demerara sugar within a floral theme of pansies and violets. Palate Initially enclosed and oaky. Pans out to allow a richer, toffee-cream and intensely malty middle. Finish Medium length, simple mixture of oak and barley. Comment A well-sculpted malt with a restrained richness and limited complexity. Lovely weight throughout.
