- Nose
- A deep, smoky nose but its a peatinesss that's well integrated with a lush fruitiness. Dry roasted spices and tobacco. The overall effect is like woodsmoke clinging to the clothes while sitting round a campfire.
- Palate
- Light smoky to start then it deepens into those cooked fruits and a little black olive tapenade.
- Finish
- Sweet and smoked.
- Comment
- Every element in harmony and adding to a complex whole. A triumph.

- Nose
- Sherried. Pungent. Biscuity. A fruity sweetness in the back. Peaty as well. Earth, moss and wet leaves. Distant smoke.
- Palate
- Sweet at first, then the oak grips releases a bitter flavour. Fizzy on the tongue. Dark chocolate, liquorice. Burnt caramel.
- Finish
- Dry and crisp. Oaky aftertaste.
- Comment
- A strong character. Peat and sherry are closely interlaced. A warmer up
on icy days.
