Tasting Notes

Michael Jackson Nose Peaty, smoky, almost sooty. Palate Firm, slippery. Treacly, oaky. The oak is big but never overpowering. Finish Like eating hard butterscotch flavoured with root ginger, while indulging the odd post-prandial burp of Christmas pudding. Comment A beautifully composed, luxurious whisky.

Jim Murray Nose Toffee and sherry hand in hand, alongside ripe apples and grape. Sweet and sexy. Palate Mouth-filling and malty, sandwiched by some fine and extremely clean sherry notes. Finish Lingering oloroso and liquorice; good age but light enough for the malt, spice and smoke finish. Comment Magnificent finesse and charm makes this a Macallan to die for.
