- Nose
- Fresh. Minty. Spicy.
- Palate
- A clear, bright orange colour suggests sherry, which duly emerges. The whisky nonetheless seems thin; then intensely sweet; those green fruits again.
- Finish
- Suddenly peppery, hot and aggressive.
- Comment
- Very lively, but ill-tempered. I kept expecting it to propose the return of military service, or demand that I had my hair cut.

- Nose
- Rich, fruity. Very biscuity. Butter shortbread or warm apple crumble. A hint of peat. Some delicate forest aromas (fern, moss).
- Palate
- Smooth, sweet and very spicy. All fruit cake aromas. Candied grapefruit. Oak tends to hold back fruity flavours. Ginger and paprika.
- Finish
- Crisp, dry and long.
- Comment
- More of a spicy tendency than other versions.
