Michael Jackson

Nose
Lots of sherry. Malt.
Palate
Very sweet and toffeeish. Creamy. Good wood extract. Spicy. Dusty.
Finish
Spicy, lively, long.
Comment
The dark mahogany colour speaks of wood. The cask itself had more to give than the 1970.

Martine Nouet

Nose
Less intense than the 1970 but in the same vein. Vanilla fudge. Flowering currant. Sultanas. A hint of yeast.
Palate
Bitter-sweet. Slightly tangy. More spices and more wood than the 1970. Takes more time to open up.
Finish
Long and spicy.
Comment
Quite a robust Macallan. Less delicate than the 1970 but in tune with the Macallan style.
