Nose
Seville orange. Fresh leather. Lemon-grass. Peat. Palate
Smooth, sweet. The fruitiest and most estery of the set. Finish
Sweet grass. Juicy. Comment
With its floweriness and a hint of peat, this seems to me a classic old-style Speysider.
Dave Broom
Nose
Finer nose, crisp with toasted almonds and a leaf mulch/earthy richness. Lightly peaty but in time a crème anglaise note mellows things slightly. Palate
Firm and malty but that ripe apricot fleshiness fills out the mid-palate. Finish
Chewy yet dry. Comment
The dry amontillado.
