Tasting Notes

Michael Jackson

Nose
Immediate clean, dry, peat smoke.
Palate
Big, firm. Peaty, grassy, lively.
Finish
Sweet, gingery. Treacly. Astonishingly long.
Comment
This is true of several of the older Macallans, suggesting that the sherry casks had contained styles other than dry oloroso.

David Robertson

Nose
Clove spice, cinnamon, citrus orange, some dried fruits.
Palate
Powerful rich clove spice with dried fruit.
Finish
Viscous and rich in the mouth it has a long and lingering spicy clove finish.
Comment
