Tasting Notes

Michael Jackson Nose Crisp. Spicy. Ginger ice cream. Palate Restrained start. Gentle flavour development. Lean. Lightly creamy. A suggestion of malted milk. Some concentrated sweetness. Finish Now the ice cream is rum and raisin. Comment Macallan Lite? Because I dislike the idea, I don't want to like the whisky, but it is a pleasant, easily drinkable dram.

Dave Broom Nose Light, spicy and quite citric. Malt, orange peel, almond, caramelised peach and baked apple. Palate Soft and light with an attractive juiciness from those fruits. Delicate and well balanced. Finish A little rapid. Comment A (deliberately) lighter style of Macallan. Wonder how the purists will take it?
