Tasting Notes

Michael Jackson Nose Darjeeling tea. Dry oloroso sherry. Palate Rich and smooth, but supple. Emphatically malty. Cookie flavours. Butter. Distinctly fruity. Sweet red apple. Flowering currant. Finish Toast and ginger marmalade. A hint of smoke. Comment Modern-day Macallan. Full of flavour but neither cloying nor overwhelming.

Dave Broom Nose Slightly oily/resinous with good soft mallty notes, orange (pulp and peel) tea leaf and cream. Palate Soft with good palate weight. Some prune-like fruit, olive stone, treacle and crisp malt. Good feel. Finish Long fruity/malty. Liquorice? Comment Good strong spirit that's in balance with the wood. Young but beginning to hit its stride.
