Tasting Notes

Michael Jackson Nose Potpourri. Spice cupboard. Flapjack. Syrup. Rosewater. Custard. Palate Slippery-smooth. Very sweet. Perfumy. Anis. Restrained fruitiness. Candied orange peel. Delicious sherry character. Great depth of flavour. Finish Toasty dryness. Long, soothing. Comment Quite an achievement. Like the previous 'replica' edition, this is more delicate than the robustly sherried Macallans of today.

Dave Broom Nose Citric yet soft and juicy: zabaglione, cereal (Weetabix), orange (Seville), heather blossom, smoke. Palate Perfumed and juicily soft with some sweetness. Dried apricot, orange peel, clove-like notes, walnut. Light peat. Dries as you hold it in the mouth. Good weight. Finish Sultana cake, coriander powder, hint of smoke. Comment Like the touch of peat-when's that batch getting bottled?
