- Nose
- Potpourri. Spice cupboard. Flapjack. Syrup. Rosewater. Custard.
- Palate
- Slippery-smooth. Very sweet. Perfumy. Anis. Restrained fruitiness. Candied orange peel. Delicious sherry character. Great depth of flavour.
- Finish
- Toasty dryness. Long, soothing.
- Comment
- Quite an achievement. Like the previous 'replica' edition, this is more delicate than the robustly sherried Macallans of today.

- Nose
- Citric yet soft and juicy: zabaglione, cereal (Weetabix), orange (Seville), heather blossom, smoke.
- Palate
- Perfumed and juicily soft with some sweetness. Dried apricot, orange peel, clove-like notes, walnut. Light peat. Dries as you hold it in the mouth. Good weight.
- Finish
- Sultana cake, coriander powder, hint of smoke.
- Comment
- Like the touch of peat-when's that batch getting bottled?
