Tasting Notes

Michael Jackson

Nose
Smoky. Toasting almonds. Crème brûlée.
Palate
Firm, smoky, oaky, slightly astringent.
Finish
Smokiness. Sweetness. Hot peppermints.
Comment
This is on the woody side. A little to woody for me in its late astringency, but it is always a privilege to taste such old whiskies.

David Robertson

Nose
Rich phenolic nose with oranges, lemons.
Palate
Smoky phenols, sherry with spices.
Finish
Richly phenolic with classic Macallan resinous spice and sherry.
Comment
A classic example of well-aged Spanish.
