Tasting Notes

Michael Jackson

Nose
Some peaty grassiness. Oily, creamy, maltiness. Very nutty indeed.
Palate
Astonishingly nutty. Sliced almonds. Ripe cherries.
Finish
Kirsch-like.
Comment
A fine malt, with great character for its relative youth. Greater ages are eagerly awaited.

Jim Murray

Nose
Feinty, fat, young. Off-centre. Oily and sweet with some malty notes fighting through.
Palate
Immediately sweet and coats the mouth with a pleasant maltiness. A little spice towards the middle, alongside some sweet vanilla.
Finish
Sweet coffee and lingering oils.
Comment
Recovers well from disastrous nose. Never becomes complex on the palate but flavours are vivid and helped by a glossy sheen.
