Tasting Notes

Dave Broom Nose Very plain with light smoke. Slightly flinty, firm and a little exposed and lacking integration. Palate A mineral quality which teases into dried grass. Water brings out a perfumed quality, some smoke, chilli flakes and a slight weight pressing into the middle of the tongue. Finish Short and clean. Comment No better than average HP.

Martine Nouet Nose Herbal, sweet. Honey, lemon balm. Light juicy fruit. White currant. Rhubarb juice. A touch of lemon drop. Palate Quite fizzy on the tongue. Spices unveil immediately. Teasing. Finish Dry, spicy, with a touch of burnt wood. Comment A cheeky character, uplifting, cheery and vibrant. For an outdoor meal, with shellfish maybe. Water gives it depth.
