- Nose
- Grassy. Dry herbs in the meadow. A faint bonfire smoke. Earl grey tea. Delivers more spices when well
aerated. Cinnamon. Quite perfumy.
- Palate
- Surprisingly sweet at start. Smoky. Then a spicy burst kicks up the tastebuds.A bit brutal.
- Finish
- Warm,slightly burning.
- Comment
- Anenticing nose,a gentle feel but the alcohol spoils the pleasure. It needs a good dash of water to be drinkable
but then loses some aromatic impact.

- Nose
- Smoke oily fish with a fruit compote topping
- Palate
- Oily mouth feel, but relatively gentle peat, tar and fish mix.
- Finish
- The whisky coats the mouth so the taste fades fast then lingers on low volume.
- Comment
- Proof that we're not quite scraping the bottom of the Port Ellen barrel just yet.
