Salt. Crusty bread. Well-done toast. Dusty malt. Warehouse aromas.
Palate
Sweet. Bay leaves. Ground black peppercorns. Sea salt. Seaweed. Iron.
Finish
Very long. Hugely powerful. Have I sipped whisky or eaten Gentleman's relish?
Comment
Bring on the pizza Napoletana (or if you are in Naples, the Romana).

Needs time (and water) to open. When it does, there's olive oil, pepper, burned timbers on the beach.
Palate
Lean with a lightly oily feel, then a blast of smoke giving hints of seaweed, smoked fish, underpinned by a honeyed sweetness.
Finish
Dies a little.
Comment
Needs more input from the cask. Still, another great selection for TWS.
