- Nose
- Clean and slightly austere to start. Then brown crab meat, angelica, oiliness... Becomes more lifted with
time and a splash of water. Lifted and slightly rubbery smoke.
- Palate
- Peppery start then and oily rich palate. A lovely seamless quality to the taste:soft melon like fruits, light
martitime notes, gentle smoke, prickles of pepper
- Finish
- Sweet smoke.
- Comment
- Balance is the key here and the higher alcohol is not obtrusive.

- Nose
- An immediate sweet whiff followed by a briny and smoky character. TCP.
- Palate
- Pungent. Sherbety. Gives a fizzy feel on the tongue.Quite refreshing. Liquorice and mint. The smoke
lingers, leaving a sooty dust sensation on the tongue.
- Finish
- Medicinal, liquoriced. A TCP aftertaste.
- Comment
- A classic Islay. Full of smoke, soot and tar.
