Nose
Clean and slightly austere to start. Then brown crab meat, angelica, oiliness... Becomes more lifted with time and a splash of water. Lifted and slightly rubbery smoke.
Palate
Peppery start then and oily rich palate. A lovely seamless quality to the taste:soft melon like fruits, light martitime notes, gentle smoke, prickles of pepper
Finish
Sweet smoke.
Comment
Balance is the key here and the higher alcohol is not obtrusive.

Nose
An immediate sweet whiff followed by a briny and smoky character. TCP.
Palate
Pungent. Sherbety. Gives a fizzy feel on the tongue.Quite refreshing. Liquorice and mint. The smoke lingers, leaving a sooty dust sensation on the tongue.
Finish
Medicinal, liquoriced. A TCP aftertaste.
Comment
A classic Islay. Full of smoke, soot and tar.
