Dave Broom
79- Nose
- Waxy with charcoal,stewed pear,XV olive oil,baked bread,burnt stick (smoke),nuts. Complex.
- Palate
- Slightly lacking initially on the front, then immediately deepens. Very oily and rich. Orange zest gives much needed balancing energy .
- Finish
- Robust and smoky with black pepper and liquorice.
- Comment
- Appetising and generous.

70- Nose
- Shy at start. Hesitate between cereal and fruit. Slightly meaty. Chicken stock. And a grassy scent. Like a garden after a thunderstorm shower on a scorching hot day. A minty touch.
- Palate
- Flowing. Quite light bodied but assertive. Warm vanilla custard. The alcohol bite and the spicy profile give a tingly kick.
- Finish
- Quickly fading. Dry spiciness.
- Comment
- Fiery. Lacks balance and character. Water cuts the edges but does not improve the aroma delivery.
