Tasting Notes

Michael Jackson

Nose
Powerful. Ground almonds. Rum. Coconut. Lemons. Pear-drops.
Palate
Creamy. Rum butter on Christmas pudding. Steamed pudding.
Finish
Lightly soothing. Balancing root-ginger dryness.
Comment
Some odd esters on the nose, but a nicely festive whisky.

Dave Broom

Nose
Very fruity start, moist cake, light honey, orange. Lots of vanilla and toffee apple. Becomes bourbon-like.
Palate
Light and clean with a slightly oily texture. Lots of new oak putting a fairly firm grip on things.
Finish
Oak.
Comment
Well made spirit that would probably benefit from slightly less aggressive oak.
