Nose
Refreshing, grassy. . Aniseed . Citrus fruit. Stewed bramley apples. Poached in syrup pears. Palate
Velvety. Aniseed lozenge. Finish
Gingery. A pleasant almondy come back with a bitter chocolate touch. Comment
Classic bourbon cask profile. Perfumy like Eau de cologne. Well balanced. Nuttier with water but it takes the freshness off.
Dave Broom
Nose
Rolled oat and honey. Damp earth, orange pulp, melted fruit and nut chocolate bar, some mango. Palate
Quite sweet. Sits in the centre, though fizzles out in the middle with a drying sensation. Finish
Chocolate again. Comment
The oak tries to kick it into life, but a little lacking in energy.
