Nose
Fruit scones with burnt raisins. Palate
That crackling pot still and sherry wood combination is knockout here, beautifully balanced with toasted vanilla notes and sunflower seeds. Finish
Slightly bitter. Burnt hops, toffee on the stove. Very long. Comment
This is a super little whiskey; a premium Jameson clone. And a good one too.
Dave Broom
Nose
Firm with some unmalted barley notes. Rich tea biscuit, slightly grassy and oily. Wild herbs (tarragon) and a hard note right in the centre. Palate
Light bodied. Chewier than the nose suggests with nutmeg and a mouth filling character. Finish
Nutty, good, spicy. Comment
Well made and quite delicate. Decent balance.
