Nose
Fry’s Turkish Delight. Palate
Bakewell tart. Finish
Belgian raspberry beer. Comment
Somewhere in the mid palate, there was a momentary hint of malt whisky. I don’t know how that found its way into this obscure liqueur from Heaven.
Dave Broom
Nose
An alarming colour like an angry sunset. Red fruits, rosehip syrup with crisp oak behind. Cooked fruits and dusty/cereal. Splits with water into edgy green spirit with a layer of jam on top. Palate
Numb to begin with. Quite liquorous and sweet with a light cherry character. Finish
Dry. Comment
The feeling here is that the finish is being used to cover something up. It hasn’t worked.
