Nose
Clootie dumpling [suet, masses of dried peels, allspice]. Little woody with water which also brings out bracken, malt. Palate
Date loaf, light oiliness, bere meal, oaky. Slightly flat. Finish
Sweet fruits. Comment
There’s lots of elements at play here. They’re just not playing together.

Nose
Intense. Malty and grassy. Dried grass. With an animal touch. Sheepskin maybe. Then shifting to bakery aromas. Almond and pear tart. Palate
Gently flowing. Rich, oily. Sweet luscious bakery flavours. Finish
Fruity (summer fruit). Comment
A very appetising dram. More complex than it seems. Needs time to reveal all its richness.
