- Nose
- Clootie dumpling [suet, masses of dried peels, allspice]. Little woody with water which also brings out bracken, malt.
- Palate
- Date loaf, light oiliness, bere meal, oaky. Slightly flat.
- Finish
- Sweet fruits.
- Comment
- There's lots of elements at play here. They're just not playing together.

- Nose
- Intense. Malty and grassy. Dried grass. With an animal touch. Sheepskin maybe. Then shifting to bakery aromas. Almond and pear tart.
- Palate
- Gently flowing. Rich, oily. Sweet luscious bakery flavours.
- Finish
- Fruity (summer fruit).
- Comment
- A very appetising dram. More complex than it seems. Needs time to reveal all its richness.
