Dave Broom
69- Nose
- Pink in colour. A mix of sherbert, fondant icing and sweet, moist, draff moistness. Then there's coconut, red wine gums and some sappiness.
- Palate
- Good initial attack, then the wine gums begins to dominate the nutty malt beneath. Opens with water into pineapple. Slightly unbalanced.
- Finish
- Dry oak, sweet fruit.
- Comment
- Too much finish for me.

60- Nose
- Another “rosé” whisky! Suggesting some wine finish. Very fungal and musty. Damp (and rotting) wood.
- Palate
- Sweet but the same mushroom note. Together with a sweet syrup flavour.
- Finish
- Sweet, with a redcurrant touch.
- Comment
- I know that some like it hot but I wonder if any like it rot ! Not I anyway...
