Dave Broom

Nose
Fat thick and sweet. Ripe fruits with some banana and sweetcorn, then draff-like cereal behind.
Palate
Intense and perfumed with iris, even parma violet. Clean.
Finish
Firms and becomes nutty.
Comment
Shows what a good base spirit is being made here –but this can only be used in reference to the bottled mature product (when you can see how good the wood has been).

Rob Allanson

Nose
Green like fresh tobacco leaves, the smell of recently watered tomato plants. Has a cereal edge, fruity museli, strawberry jam.
Palate
All malt and cereal sweetness, just a few hints a fruit.
Finish
Big and warming.
Comment
Needs a little water to open it up. Just wonder about the name.
