- Nose
- Fat thick and sweet. Ripe fruits with some banana and sweetcorn, then draff-like cereal behind.
- Palate
- Intense and perfumed with iris, even parma violet. Clean.
- Finish
- Firms and becomes nutty.
- Comment
- Shows what a good base spirit is being made here –but this can only be used in reference to the bottled mature product (when you can see how good the wood has been).

- Green like fresh tobacco leaves, the smell of recently watered tomato plants. Has a cereal edge, fruity museli, strawberry jam.
- Palate
- All malt and cereal sweetness, just a few hints a fruit.
- Finish
- Big and warming.
- Comment
- Needs a little water to open it up. Just wonder about the name.
