Nose
Leathery with stewed fruits. Light cardamom lift. Deep and forest-like. Rich layered and robust. On the bigger side of things. Damson, chestnut honey. Palate
Concentrated. Seems to have some age. Cherry throat sweets (Tunes)/elderberry. Deep in the centre with layers of oak and nuts giving structure to the dense weight. Finish
Long and slightly drying. Comment
In line with cask No. 66, but with greater complexity. One for a cigar.
Dominic Roskrow
Nose
Honeyed vanilla, stewed fruits, plum. Palate
Sharp, pinewood, mint and resin. Finish
A long dash of fruit and wood. Comment
Another big whiskey with plenty to offer.
