- Nose
- Weird. Like a garage, oily rags, but some sweetness behind.
- Palate
- It's that sweetness which dominates the palate and gives an unctuous feel
to the palate.
- Finish
- Green.
- Comment
- The feel is good but it needs time to develop all the flavours. Four years old
is just too early.
70
- Nose
- Weird. Turpentine. A distant floral note. After this first offnote, some biscuity
and spicy aromas. Slightly grainy.
- Palate
- Crisp and spicy. Pears cooked in ginger. Getting astringent at midpalate.
- Finish
- Astringent, a bit burning.
- Comment
- A strange dram. Lacks balance and maturity. The astringency is wiped out
by a dash of water.
