Tasting Notes

Dave Broom Nose Hunter Valley Semillon. Green, grassy slightly stony. Then there’s pineapple, tinned pear and becomes increasingly sweet. Palate The pears are to the fore for me. Marzipan/amaretto. Finish Very gentle. Comment A decent drink, but the port finish is the winner out of the trio.

Arthur Motley Nose Malty. Palate Basically sweet with acacia honey, custard crèmes and a little candied nuts. Syrupy exotic fruit and caramel too, like fairground toffee apples. A macaroon biscuit. Finish Caramel. Comment Balanced and pleasant.
