Nose
Hunter Valley Semillon. Green, grassy slightly stony. Then there’s pineapple, tinned pear and becomes increasingly sweet. Palate
The pears are to the fore for me. Marzipan/amaretto. Finish
Very gentle. Comment
A decent drink, but the port finish is the winner out of the trio.
Arthur Motley
Nose
Malty. Palate
Basically sweet with acacia honey, custard crèmes and a little candied nuts. Syrupy exotic fruit and caramel too, like fairground toffee apples. A macaroon biscuit. Finish
Caramel. Comment
Balanced and pleasant.
