Tasting Notes

Michael Jackson Nose Good mint-toffee, rye aroma. Palate Good viscosity. Sweetish. Spicy. Cinnamon. Nutmeg. Rich fruitcake. Finish Cigar smoke. Very late soothing warmth. Comment Certainly showing its age, but full of character.

Jim Murray Nose One of the sweetest expressions of any rye; not as, literally, hard nosed as others, attractively perfumed with a hint of malt too. Palate Firmer on the palate than nose with the arrival of the rye delayed until the middle is neared. Finish Delicious sweet coating counterbalances the more bitter rye. Rumbling oak and liquorice are pleasantly muted. Comment A charming rye.
