- Good mint-toffee, rye aroma.
- Palate
- Good viscosity. Sweetish. Spicy. Cinnamon. Nutmeg. Rich fruitcake.
- Finish
- Cigar smoke. Very late soothing warmth.

- Certainly showing its age, but full of character.

- One of the sweetest expressions of any rye; not as, literally, hard nosed as others, attractively perfumed with a hint of malt too.

- Firmer on the palate than nose with the arrival of the rye delayed until the middle is neared.

- Delicious sweet coating counterbalances the more bitter rye. Rumbling oak and liquorice are pleasantly muted.
