Nose
?Slighty off the bat, with a little ripe orchard fruit, hints of American bubble gum and some drying woody tones.
Palate
?Hot, with some roasted coffee/cocoa bean notes, leading into a touch of leather/wood and a discreet perfumed smoke note hidden away. Like a secret door in the back of a wardrobe.
Finish
?The lingering toasted notes are dominant here, with a touch of spice developing alongside a decent drying oakiness.
Comment
?Nothing wrong with this, perhaps a little dry for my tastes, but has some interesting top notes to explore.

Nose
?A little minerally, acetone, pear drops, key lime pie, fresh printed magazines, glue sticks. Melon and Parma ham. A soft hint of tobacco too.
Palate
?Big sweet waves with a touch of warm sourdough bread, that acidity. Roast tomatoes and sweet balsamic. A touch of gentle smokiness at the end.
Finish
?Dry, but it has a refreshing and revitalising quality to it.
Comment
?A good pick me up whisky. Pre dinner conversation starter.
