Nose
Kicks off with spirit and soil. This does develop over time to bring in some meaty notes and blackberry but the grain is driving force here.
Palate
Vanilla, spelt bread, salted butter and under ripe banana sit on a bed of toasted marshmallow and pine. Easy drinking.
Finish
More vanilla and earthy notes give a golden halo.
Comment
The air the day after a hippy festival leaves town. Scented and earthy.

Nose
Malty. Brown bread. Hint of praline. Good intensity. In the back, touch of Marmite and a kind of meaty oxtail broth note. Soft spices. Nutmeg.
Palate
Round, sweet. Orange gingerbread, Chamonix cakes, toffee apple. Oak frames the malty profile. Water enhances some oiliness.
Finish
Dry,slightly astringent.
Comment
A well knitted whisky. On the astringent side though
