- Nose
- An odd oxidised note. Tinned pear and evaporated milk. Burning cigar, roasted nut and a signed note like burning hair. Glossy, but there's something not quite right behind.
- Palate
- Big hit with good length. Pretty, fresh and balanced though a touch of soapiness knocks it back.
- Finish
- Cereal.
- Comment
- A strange package that almost works.

- Nose
- Cider apples, damp cellar. Dessert-like. Crème caramel. Pears in puff pastry.
- Palate
- Smooth, quite sweet. Caramelised apples. Tarte Tatin.
- Finish
- Medium, spicy (nutmeg and a touch of cinnamon).
- Comment
- Not so far from an aged calvados. Well balanced but the wood is not totally integrated.
