- Nose
- Peat in the jar ! The kiln the day after or the bonfire going out under a drizzle. Touch of barley sugar and vanilla.
- Palate
- Sweet and smooth. Smoked haddock. Lemon drops. Cereal bowl.
- Finish
- Short and vanishing on smoke.
- Comment
- A pleasant young islander (an Ileach obviously). Refreshing, wrapped in
smoke, easygoing. To quench the thirst after a walk.

- Nose
- Sooty and oily, like an old Hornby train engine. There are some citrus notes too.
- Palate
- Big,powerful and oily but with sweet pear and tinned exotic fruits mixed up
in the coal dust and holding their own in the smoke.A powerful double act.
- Finish
- Long, with more of the tinned pear and charcoal.
- Comment
- A monster. It's rare to get independent bottlings from Islay this good. Up there with the big boys.
