- Nose
- Intense. Rich toffee, candied orange. Creamy custard. Freshly baked bread.
- Palate
- Smooth and velvety. Fruit and oak are well integrated. Dundee cake. But midpalate is watery. Then spices gives it a kick. Ginger and whitepepper. A smoky touch (burnt wood ?).
- Finish
- Dry, spicy, very pleasant.
- Comment
- A lovely whisky with a hole in the middle ! A higher alcohol strength would have made a big difference.

- Nose
- Kicks off with spicy notes, warming ginger and mellow nutmeg, actually custard tart. A faint whiff of smoke in the background.
- Palate
- Balanced, notes of sherry, cinnamon and nutmeg coming through. Some
Christmas spices and pudding notes.
- Finish
- Drying and slightly nutty.
- Comment
- A wonderfully smooth whisky, nicely balanced indeed.
