82- Nose
- Some attractive singed edges to start alongside a (not unattractive) hint of vegetable sulphur. As this flies off there's sweet spices and pulpy fruits while a rumble of earthiness beds everything down.
- Palate
- None of the sulphur is apparent here. Instead there's a mix of fruit syrup, almond, hessian, and solid palate.
- Finish
- Ripe and lightly gingery.
- Comment
- Great balance - true to its distillery character but a slightly softer edge than usual.

- Malty. Oily. Linseed. A turpentine touch. Opening on lighter notes. Orange blossom. Ginger ale.
- Palate
- Smooth. Sweet. Not very expressive. A citrussy note mingled with cereals. Almond syrup. Pears poached in a vanilla syrup.
- Finish
- Drying on spices and dried apricot skin. Medium long. Quite pleasant.
- Comment
- Restrained at first. Slowly unwinding, especially with a dash of water. A nice refreshing aftertaste.
