- Nose
- Turps mixed with mint cordial cut with some form of embrocation. Becomes more sugary with time and then rye, highly perfumed rye at that.
- Palate
- That oily almost soapy quality but here it's accompanied by a scattergun of allspice clove and maraschino, grippy and powerful.
- Finish
- Hot.
- Comment
- It packs a wallop but too intense for me.

- Nose
- Very unusual. A mix of pine and eucalyptus. Almost medicinal. A huge whiff of caraway. Far far behind, a fruity note. Sour apple.
- Palate
- Sweet at start then bitter and oaky. Even grippy. A touch of overcooked
damson jam.
- Finish
- Dry, bitter, oaky.
- Comment
- An old bourbon or rye? It has stayed too much in casks. Oak has taken the control. Too bad because there is some goodness under.
