Nose
Sweet. Elegant. Bourboney. Buttery. Toffee. Cappucino. Barley sugar. Lemon-grass. Star anise. Forest bouquet. Dried leaves, touch of mushroom. Palate
Round and mellow. Clean and fresh. Candied quince. Honeyed apples. Fruit and nut chocolate. Finish
Lingering on liquorice. Ginger root. Comment
Heavier than the 21 Years Old due to its sweetness. But harmonious and elegant.
Dave Broom
Nose
Unctuous. PX/Bristol milk. Walnut, raisin. Very sweet and soft. Moscatel and heathery smoke. Palate
Mouth coating and soft then the grip of oak. Has a mature character giving it an extra dimension. Finish
The dry oak lessens and out comes rich sherried flavours. Comment
Like all old whiskies everything is delivered on the finish.
