Dave Broom

Nose
Clean maltiness with a touch of sandalwood, dry bracken, camphor alongside summer pudding and, weirdly, tinned tomato soup. A lot going on.
Palate
Sweet, fat and mouth filling. Lots of coffee, chocolate and roasted maltiness. A mid-palate blend with menthol notes, dried pear and coriander.
Finish
Slightly bitter. Nutshell.
Comment
Big-boned and full.

Rob Allanson

Nose
A very warm and firm nose, bags of malt and honey. There is a little mint and a little spice too.
Palate
Firm and grippy with the malt making itself known. There is a silky grain element. Coffee grinds, runny honey and raisin bread.
Finish
Dark chocolate and grippy oak.
Comment
Always wondered why 13; but certainly is lucky for some.
