- Nose
- Quite funky. A (pleasing) aroma of old vintage port/Malaga, all nuts and cellars, soaking cep mushroom, maple syrup, black cherry.
- Palate
- Lighter than the nose may imply, it's more oak-derived flavours alongside
some light grippiness. Currants.
- Finish
- Very chewy. Nutty.
- Comment
- Bold and characterful.
- Nose
- The sherry influences comes through, amplified from the 13. The spices are more pronounced. Dark, black fruits.
- Palate
- Chocolate hits first then a silky grain sweet honey note. Vanilla and sultanas. The alcohol asserts itself through the sherry.
- Finish
- Lush and rich, cherries and chocolate.
- Comment
- Assertive and flavoursome.
