Dave Broom

Solid and well oaked. Deep and fungal (in line with 19yo) with the heavy sherry of the 21yo but with an added perfume, fresh varnish, cassis. Oxidised. Malt loaf. Layered and rich.
Clean with good maturity. The start is all spices, honey, herbs and anise, then thickens in the centre to runny toffee before shifting once more to sherry.
Jammy, clean and balanced.
A big, bold blend showing great mastery of aged stock.

Rob Allanson

This has great depth, sherry, fig pudding and dried fruit. French polish and oak pews.
Like the 22 this starts slowly then reaches a crescendo. Caramel, citrus develop into liquorice and toffee. The malt and sherry notes filling the mouth to the end.
Dried fruits, sultanas and delightful.
Dare I say Christmas in a glass? Yes and cunningly put together.
