Nose
Earthy, wet moss, turf. Fruity as well. Juicy pears. Cereal notes rise up in a fragrant spiral of honey and ripe hay. Appetising.
Palate
Malty sweetness teased by a spicy edge. The cereal is dominant. Mueslï. Rich, fulfilled.
Finish
Long, balanced with a wave of liquorice. A hint of smoked wood.
Comment
A comforting dram, cheery, brings in visions of a warm summer day in the country.

Nose
Robust, autumnal: raked leaves and toasted chestnut. Some dried pear and a syrupy sweetness. Water brings bran flakes then peanut.
Palate
Soft, slow and slightly creamy. Picks up from mid palate onwards. Silky and deep.
Finish
Great length.
Comment
Very well balanced and with immediate appeal, exactly what you want from a vatted malt.
