Tasting Notes

Michael Jackson

Nose
Soft oak. Earthy. Truffle-like. Smoky.
Palate
Slightly. Slippery. Slips down. Medium dry. Cedary, some steely notes, and some smoke.
Finish
Very lively flavour development. Grassy, peaty, smoky. Drier with water.
Comment
Masculine. Rather austere, aloof.

Dave Broom

Nose
Attractive with soft, cakey aromas that mix nut and honey with a hint of smoke and a slightly rubbery note.
Palate
Clean and not overly sweet. Almond cooked fruits, chocolate, smoke.
Finish
Soft, then nutty wood.
Comment
Attractive and well-balanced. Not as heavily sherried as you might expect.
