Nose
Floral. Fading roses. Almond. Sandalwood. Touch of curry – reminded me of opening the door of an Indian restaurant. Distant echo of smoke. Palate
Soft. Watery. Light oak and not much more. Finish
Not so short though. Slightly oaky. Drying on soft spices. Comment
The nose lets us expect some exotic promises. Did too much dilution blow all that galore off? Disappointing.
Dave Broom
Nose
Heavy and concentrated with layers of aroma. Sherry (raisin, Dundee cake) and smoke, but also a moist coconutty edge. Cooked black fruits. Rich. Palate
Drier than you expect with plenty of peat. Leather, burning heather, antique shop. Old style. Finish
Dried fruits. Comment
Firmer and smokier than the 15.
