Nose
Sweet and sugary. Candylike. A floral note. Syrup with a drop of orange blossom. Palate
Sweet and oaky. Velvety texture; reminds of a VSOP cognac. Watery in the middle. As if syrup had been added to the spirit. Finish
Tangy, bitter, abrupt. Comment
Another example of a “worked upon” whisky. Rather dismantled in its sweetness.
Dave Broom
Nose
This is different, though not in a good way. Solvent, bubblegum and acetone. Palate
Better than the nose. Perfumed with a firm structure. A little jangly on the finish. Seems young, green and slightly sappy. In time the solvent reappears. Finish
Somewhat abrasive. Comment
An explosion at a beauticians. Nail varnish raining down while the bored Saturday assistant chews bubblegum amidst the chaos.
