Tasting Notes

Martine Nouet Nose Earthy with a distant mushroom aroma. Wild mint. A very autumnal aromatic profile. Gets more dessert-like on time. Palate Crisp, medium bodied. Clings on the palate. Nice spicy display. Rye shows up. Apple skin, fresh ginger. Finish Dry, spicy. With a nice warm kick. Comment A well integrated combination of fruit and oak. A dram for uplifting hikers back from a wet walk.

Dave Broom Nose Rich and powerful. Banana, raspberry, clotted cream cut with orange and lime zest. Generous and succulent. Palate Good balance. Has extra weight and depth and manages to play dry and sweet off each other. Finish Long, rich silky. Comment This has structure and character, one of the few to show some personality. Pleasant to start with but ultimately you’re driven mad by the saccharine niceness of it all.
