Tasting Notes

Martine Nouet Nose Spirity. Prickly. Herbal. Jasmine tea. Cider apple. Dessert-like aromas. Ginger biscuit. Trifle. Maraschino cherry. Shortcrust pastry. Palate Firm, crisp. Good feel. Creamy. Coffee toffee. Bitter orange marmalade. Ginger. Finish Medium. Quickly fading. A bit thin. Smoked hazelnuts. Becoming astringent. Comment The nose delivers more than the palate. Once more, oak overwhelms fruit and bitterly dries the finish.

Dave Broom Nose Clean and light. Gentle grated nutmeg, cumin, vellum, roasting coffee bean then into honeycomb (Crunchie bars). Rose petal. Palate A clean very honeyed palate with a crisp spice from the oak which then softens into melted chocolate. Finish A zippy lift which freshens everything. Vetiver. Sandalwood. Comment You could sit and suck on a bottle of this all day long. Worryingly drinkable.
