Tasting Notes

Arthur Motley

Nose
Refresher sweeties, turpentine and eucalyptus. Rye in evidence.
Palate
Parma violets, vanilla and sawdust.
Finish
An intense progression of pine, sap and wood. A good chewin' whiskey.
Comment
Remarkably drinkable at full strength, which is just as well as I didn't enjoy it as much once diluted. Impressive: but you must like 'em woody.

Dave Broom

Nose
Great intensity of aroma. A huge, old, but gentle bourbon. Cinnamon bark, cedar, high char, heavy perfumed rose, sweet vermouth, spice. It’s a ready-made Manhattan!
Palate
Benylin, cherry menthol then allspice. Great length. Water brings out grippy oak.
Finish
Long, slightly grippy.
Comment
A phenomenal whisky. Stephen Camisa we salute you.
