Tasting Notes

Michael Jackson Nose Very fruity, and nutty. Dark fruits, like figs. Palate Walnuts. Brandy butter. Big, sweet, malty background. Finish Cigar tobacco. Lingering warmth. Comment Can the elegant Yamazaki whisky stand up to heavy sherry? In this case, yes. A dexterously balanced malt.

Dave Broom Nose Overt ‘sherry’ notes: dried fruit, nuts etc. Similar to a palo cortado. A lovely red fruit quality alongside butter, raisin and, in time, toffee apple/baked apple and a hint of smoke. Palate Good rich weight and a soft feel. Chewy. Great balance. Finish Rounded. Comment An elegant, beautifully balanced whisky.
