Tasting Notes

Michael Jackson

Nose
Quite assertive. Sherry, oily, nutty.
Palate
Nutty, sweet, chewy. Cinnamon. Toast.
Finish
Oily, perfumy. Cypress? Sweet leaves. A hint of peat. A touch of oak.
Comment
Big flavours, and a lot happening, but could be rounder.

Jim Murray

Nose
Sweet with a bees-waxy texture.
Palate
A slightly battered array of oaky notes limps alongside the strained malt.
Finish
Superficial smoky malt notes but out of sorts.
Comment
The nose is outstanding, but not a patch on Hibiki 21.
