Tasting Notes

Michael Jackson Nose Lemony. Fragrant. Palate Tongue-coating. Spicy. Intense. Victoria sponge. Marmalade. Oranges and lemons. Finish Big, zesty. Long. Comment The typical fruitiness of the Yoichi whiskies, but less peat than I remember.

Dave Broom Nose Dry. Turf/turned earth, smoke, green sticks. With water, apple becomes the dominant aroma, with lemon, crisp (nutty) malt, tea and oak. Palate Quite intense to start, but opens well. Apple and nut, dried fruit, spice, ginger biscuits, pepper and dry wood. Light and dry. Finish Good length but maybe a little woody. Comment The driest and leanest of this flight, but has some complexity.
