- Nose
- Lemony. Fragrant.
- Palate
- Tongue-coating. Spicy. Intense. Victoria sponge. Marmalade. Oranges and lemons.
- Finish
- Big, zesty. Long.
- Comment
- The typical fruitiness of the Yoichi whiskies, but less peat than I remember.

- Nose
- Dry. Turf/turned earth, smoke, green sticks. With water, apple becomes the dominant aroma, with lemon, crisp (nutty) malt, tea and oak.
- Palate
- Quite intense to start, but opens well. Apple and nut, dried fruit, spice, ginger biscuits, pepper and dry wood. Light and dry.
- Finish
- Good length but maybe a little woody.
- Comment
- The driest and leanest of this flight, but has some complexity.
